A senior Company Director, with extensive experience in managing significant National and International operations within a broad spectrum of industries, dealing with many FTSE 100 customers and a variety of other companies. A proven track record in sales, sales management, marketing and general management achieved both individually and through the development and coaching of highly successful teams.
Business experience includes over 40 years in sales and marketing from Salesman through to Director. This gained in industries as diverse as toiletries, white goods, pharmaceuticals, furniture and housewares. This background included founding a UK subsidiary of a US group, re-building a 120 strong sales operation following receivership and taking already successful operations to even higher levels.
High-level communication, business, administration and interpersonal skills gained through presenting and operating at the most senior level with Europe’s and the UK’s major retailers from initial project proposals to confirmed commercial contracts.
Delivered training on salesmanship, advanced selling, training the trainer, sales management, key account selling, national account management, negotiation techniques, recruitment and conference/meeting/exhibition planning. Author of an international group sales manual.
Possesses the ability to quickly identify potential problem areas that are restricting business development, and as a consequence is able to deliver solutions to drive a company forward.
